How to Install
Bracket location on your pleated shade may be installed either inside the window frame or outside of the window frame. Two mounting brackets should be placed approximately 3 inches from each end of the headrail. For wider shades that required 3 or 4 brackets. These should be spaced evenly between the two outermost brackets.

Outside Mount

Clip brackets onto the headrail. Hold shade level at the height desired and center it over the window. Now mark the exact location of the brackets. Remember that there must be a bracket three inches from each end of the headrail (see figure 1). Remove the brackets from the headrail and position the top of each bracket at the marked location and screw into the wall or window molding (see figure 2).

Inside mounting

Clip brackets onto the headrail. Hold shade in place and make a pencil mark at the rear of each bracket where it contacts the inside of the window frame. Remove the brackets from the headrail and align them with the marks. Use the screws to attach the brackets to the window frame. Remembering that the brackets must be about three inches from the end of the head rail (see figures 3 and 4).

Securing the Headrail

Clip the shade onto the brackets again, using the tongue of the bracket to clip onto the groove in the headrail. Leave the shade in the up position. Position the small tongue of the bracket to clip on the bottom of headrail and tighten it using a screw driver (see figure 5). It will hold the shade in place.

How to Operate
To raise or lower shade, pull lift cord to left until cord lock releases. The cord lock may be very tight when first installed and may not release. In this case, pull the cord to the left, then to the right, then left again. When desired height is reached, pull left cords to the right and shade will lock.

Hold down Bracket:
Hold down brackets are included for optional use. Brackets should be used only if the shade is to be in permanently lowered position. When the shade is fully lowered, pencil marks should be made on the outside ends of the bottom rail. Brackets should be lined up to the pencil marks and screwed into place. Insert pins protruding from the brackets into the holes on both ends of the bottom rail.

How to Clean
The vinly head rail and bottom rail can be wiped clean with a damp sponge. To clean the shade fabric, use a feather duster or vacuum lightly using the soft brush attachment.

Pleated shade length
The fabric used for your new pleated shade is specially woven and treated for outstanding pleat retention. As a result the fabric has "pleated memory" which sometimes prevents it from hanging to it's full stated length when first installed. If this happens allow shade to hang fully extended for a few days to relex to full length. Hanging for an extended period, the top few pleats may lose their crisp edge. To restore the crisp edge, drew the shade closed tightly and leave it closed for 2 hours.

How to Shorten
We are not responsible for any shades that are damaged or unproperly cut during the process. Thank you.

Pull left cords to the left and release to fully lower the shade and at least 2 pleats to the desired length, and mark with a pencil for later reference. Slide off the end caps on the bottom rail (see figure 6). Slide bottom rail completely off (see figure 7).

Untie the cord and remove the plastic ring from the inner rail (see figure 8). Locate your pencil mark and then cut the pleat using scissors. If in doubt, leave a few extra pleats, as you can easily make a further adjustment later on. Do not cut the cord at this time. Reinsert plastic slat on the last pleat and position inner rail against last pleat. Restring cord through plastic slat, inner rail and plastic ring and retie the cord. Cut off excess cord (see figure 9). Slide bottom rail back on and put end caps back into place (see figure 10).
