Call 1-800-769-7770 ![]() How to Install Bracket location on your roman shade may be installed either inside the window frame or outside of the window frame. Two mounting brackets should be placed approximately 3 inches from each end of the headrail. For wider shades that required 3 or 4 brackets. These should be spaced evenly between the two outermost brackets. Outside Mount ![]() Clip brackets onto the headrail. Hold shade level at the height desired and center it over the window. Now mark the exact location of the brackets. Remember that there must be a bracket three inches from each end of the headrail (see figure 1). Remove the brackets from the headrail and position the top of each bracket at the marked location and screw into the wall or window molding (see figure 2). Inside Mount ![]() Clip brackets onto the headrail. Hold shade in place and make a pencil mark at the rear of each bracket where it contacts the inside of the window frame. Remove the brackets from the headrail and align them with the marks. Use the screws to attach the brackets to the window frame. Remembering that the brackets must be about three inches from the end of the head rail (see figures 3 and 4). Securing the Headrail ![]() Clip the shade onto the brackets again, using the tongue of the bracket to clip onto the groove in the headrail. Leave the shade in the up position. Position the small tongue of the bracket to clip on the bottom of headrail and tighten it using a screw driver (see figure 5). It will hold the shade in place. How to Operate To raise or lower shade, pull lift cord to left until cord lock releases. The cord lock may be very tight when first installed and may not release. In this case, pull the cord to the left, then to the right, then left again. When desired height is reached, pull left cords to the right and shade will lock. Important note: Packaging and shipment of this product frequently results in minor wrinkling of the fabric. Also, the decorative pockets on the face of the shade will tend to "stick out" slightly. Allow the shade to hang for a few days and the wrinkles will "fall out", and the pockets will "relex" to their intended downward position. How to Clean The vinly head rail can be wiped clean with a damp sponge. To clean the shade fabric, use a feather duster or vacuum lightly using the soft brush attachment. |
