Designer Roman Shade Installation Guide

Your Designer Roman Shade may be installed in either of the following ways: 1. Outside of the window frame or molding. 2. Inside the window frame. Your shade may also be attached directly to the window molding.

Outside Mount
1. Place the brackets on the shade temporarily. Hold the shade level at the height desired and center it over the window. 2. Mark the location of the brackets. 3. Remove the brackets from the shade. If desired, pre-drill holes into the wall or molding. 4. Screw the brackets into the wall or molding (see figure A) using 11/8" screws. 5. Once the brackets are attached, fit the groove of the top rail of the shade into the tongue on the bracket (see figure C). Tighten the screw at the bottom of the bracket assembly to secure the wood rail in place.



Inside Mount
1. Place the brackets on the shade temporarily. Hold the shade against the top of the inside of the window frame and center it over the window. 2. Mark the location of the brackets. 3. Remove the brackets from the shade. if desired, pre-drill holes into the frame or molding. 4. Screw the brackets into the window frame or molding using the 11/8" screws(see figure B). 5. Once the brackets are attached, fit the groove of the top rail of the shade into the tongue on the bracket(see figure C). Tighten the screw at the bottom of the bracket assembly to secure the wood rail in place.

Operating your Roman Shade
To lower the shade, simply pull the cord to the left to release the cord lock. Hold the cord while the shade drops to the desired length. Pull the cord slightly to the right to lock the cord in place. To raise the shade, pull the cord to the left to release the cord lock and pull the cord until the shade is at the desired level. Pull the cord to the right to lock into place.

Cord Cleat A cord cleat is enclosed in your hardware kit. This may be attached to the window frame to hold the cord when not in use. Simply mount the cleat at the desired height using the two 3/8" screws.

Cleaning your Roman Shade
Periodic dusting is suggested. Use your vacuum cleaner brush attachment to vacuum clean.
