Place Shade against window at desired position. Shade can be mounted to ceiling, wall or window frame. 2. Placed bracket on shade by putting bolt through hole in top of shade. (The slit in fabric is placed in material during manufacturing to allow for easy inserting of the bolt.) ![]() 3. Mark position of bracket with pencil. 4. Place bracket at pencil marks and screw in place.(Pre-drilling holes for screws will make installation easier.) 5. Check alignment of bracket to holes in shade. If they do not align, loosen screws, slide bracket left or right until aligned, and then tighten screws. 6. Fit shade up into bolt bracket so that the bolt is visible under the head rail. Place washer and then wing nut on bolt and tighten securely. ![]() 7. A cleat is also enclosed and may be attached to window frame to hold cord when not in use. Mount at desired height. How to Operate To lower the shade: Simply pull the cord to the left to release the cord lock, and hold while the shade drops, allow the shade to drop to the desired height. Pull the cord to the right to lock the cord in place. To raise the shade: Pull the cord to the left to release the cord lock and pull up to desired height, pull cord to the right to lock into place again. If the shade does not raise evenly, adjust the individual left cord to maintain equal tension. Important Note: Packaging and shipment of this product frequently results in minor wrinkling of the fabric. Also, the decorative pockets on the face of the shade will tend to "stick out" slightly. Allow the shade to hang for a few days and the wrinkles will "fall out", and the pockets will "relex" to their intended downward position. Cord Cleat A cleat is also enclosed and may be attached to the window frame to hold the cord when not in use. Mount it at a desired height. How to Clean Periodic dusting is suggested. Use your vacuum cleaner brush attachment to vacuum clean. The vinyl back can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. |
